Skype is a communication software that is available for Windows, Mac, and other platforms (including cell phones). It can be used for sending IM (instant messenger) text messages, to make voice calls, to make group teleconferences, to video conference, to send files, and to perform other communication and collaboration tasks.
VNC (Virtual Network Computer) is software that allows for the remote viewing and control of computers over a network. People can use VNC to show their computer screens to others on a network. Because of this feature, it can be valuable for team work and collaboration.
Having embarked on my journey toward an M.A. in Education, I’ve tried to equip myself with as many tools as possible to help in the reading, research, and writing that I’ll be doing over the next two years.
